Elders
Heavenview is blessed to be served by a number of couples that have
committed themselves to minister in the capacity of elders here at
the church.
Our Heavenview elders have been commissioned by God to provide the
necessary prayer support that is essential to the spiritual
well-being and divine destiny of everyone here at Heavenview.
Together they seek to provide a covering of intercessory prayer for
the ministers and ministries of the Church.
Our elders provide an active prayer force for all services. They are
available to provide the “prayer of faith” for those in need, in our
church and throughout our community. Our Elders endeavor to provide
prayer as a rapid response to emergencies that impact our church and
our community.
The Apostle Paul stated to Timothy, “For I have no man likeminded,
who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not
the things which are Jesus Christ’s” (Philippians 2:20-21). It is an
incredible blessing to our entire church family, that each of these
men and their wives provide a “likeminded” representation of the
pastoral ministry of our church.
Acts 6:2-4 (KJV) "Wherefore, brethren, look ye
out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and
wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. But we will give
ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word."
James 5:14-15 (KJV) "Is any sick among you? let
him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of
faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if
he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."
